Rock N Roll features Mohanlal in the role of a musician and Vimala Raman plays his heroine

In the film Mohanlal is playing Narasimha, an encounter specialist who is after the famous Gabbar Singh. And for Ramzan, P T Kunju Mohammed's Pardesi with Lal will release.

When Ranjith telephoned Lal Jose with a suggestion to play the role of director in ‘Rock ‘n’Roll’Lal was taken for a surprise.  Although he had shown his face in few minor scenes and some television programmes Lal was not very confident about doing it well.  He found it equally difficult to say a blatant ‘no’ to his pal Renjith.  Only when he reached the location he understood that what awaited him was a good role with good dialogues. He was in the midst of an obligation and diffidence. But Ranjith, Mukesh and Mohan Lal was there to back him up.  But as he fell in line with the routine of acting he found it very interesting. He says that the five days he spent at the location was very enriching.  

Lal Jose began his career as an assistant director  in the film by Kamal ‘Pradesika Varthakal’. The screen play was by Ranjith.   Later Lal did many projects on his own.  Lal likes to do a film with Moham Lal and he hopes his dream will come true next year.  Lal Jose feels happy to have visited different shooting locations in Chennai once again.  The heroine of ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll’ is Swetha Menon. The film is produced by PN Venugopal under the  banner of PNV Associates. The photography is by  Manoj Pillai. The production controller is Dickson Peduthas. Marikar films will make it reach the theatres shortly
