Veteran script writer Renji Panicker, unites for the first time with Joshy in his second film Nasrani starring Mammootty in the lead. The film tells the story of a typical 'Achayan' from a Christian family in Central Kerala.

Nasrani revolves around the life of a rich planter, David John Kottaram, a Syrian Christian estate owner whose luxurious life style turns upside down when his beloved ones are affected by certain incidents

David examines the  firmament which  is about give a heavy down pour.  He is bargaining at the fish market.  A few aides of Xavier approach him and ask him to meet their boss. David dislikes the idea as he laughs away the suggestion. Those who want to see me must come to me and not me to them said David the son of Paulsir the king maker of Kerala politics.  The aide who tried to explain his stand becomes a victim of David’s rage and what follows next is terrific fight scene. He dominated the fight with whatever he got as weapons. Just then the heavens poured down relentlessly.  This is the highlight  scene from ‘Nasrani’, the latest project of Josh, Mammotty, Rengith team. 

The shooting was done at Kottayam, Palai, Vaikom, Vagamon and Chalakudy.  The rerecording of the movies is being done at Chennai.  The music of the movie is prepared by Anil Pachooran Bijipal team.  The movie made under the banner of Horizon Entertainments is directed by Shaji.  K. Mohanan is the production controller. Rajan Sankadi is the associate director.  The make up and still are done by Salim Kadakal and Pazhani respectively.  Mamootty is the hero and the heroines are Vimala and Muktha. The other actors that appear in the movie are; Jagathi, Bharath Gopi,  Kalabhavan Mani, Lalu Alex,  Arun, Augustine, Manianpilla Raju, Janardhanan, Ponnamma Babu, Ambika Mohan, Bindhu Panickar etc.  The movie will reach theatres by the 12 of October as a Ramadan release. The first show of the film will be done at 12noon all over Kerala on the releasing day.
