The  Ambalathara house in Thiruvananthapuram  is spacious and active like a studio flat. At the ground floor shooting of a serial is in progress. On the first floor there is the shooting of a film.  This house is a usual site for shooting. Balachandran Menon becomes director once again after a gap of three years.  Jayasurya plays the lead role. Sinu Kurian is the new heroine introduced by Balachandra Menon.  The movie has a political touch. It deals with contemporary political issues.
